This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to enter the world of technology product management. Ideally you will have a background in business analysis, engineering, software development or a general business background with some experience in a technology business. You excel at analysis, problem solving and communication. This role is designed to bridge the gap and help you transition. After 6-12 months working in this role, you should be ready to take on all aspects of product management for one of our product portfolios. 


This role will report to the Chief Product Officer or a Senior Product Manager and will interface with all levels of the organisation.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Work with the rest of the Product team to shape the product vision and strategy for the projects 

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand, analyse and refine product requirements for the backlog as user stories with acceptance criteria;

  • Understand, map and communicate user stories and process flow diagrams together with engineers, designers and other business stakeholders to ensure we build quality, valuable and reliable software as productively as possible. 

  • Work with the product team to manage from concept, to design, production, testing, rollout, and support of applications/services on our platform.

  • Help resolve tradeoffs between cost/technical feasibility, value to customers, internal stakeholder concerns and business value

  • Collaborate with engineering team on platform features and deep dive with them to solve problems;

  • Give input and assistance on the maintenance of the product roadmap

  • Help ensure the product achieves targets in terms of key business metrics such as client conversion, revenue, retention etc. 

  • Gather feedback from client-facing teams, and clients directly and use these to improve the performance of the product

  • Routine and ad-hoc management reporting on all activity and product performance


What Skills You Will Bring 

  • You are competent with modern project management tooling such as GSuite, issue trackers (eg Jira, YouTrack, Trello)

  • You can communicate well with team members and stakeholders on deliverables and approach, demonstrating the ability to communicate and listen appropriately depending on the audience

  • You strive for success, are keen to learn and develop, are collaborative with a can-do attitude, and can build positive relationships

  • Strong commercial understanding and good business knowledge

  • The ability to analyse product performance metrics and suggest areas of focus, improvement or further investigation

  • Good technical understanding of relevant technologies

  • Experience with online consumer services is valuable (or small business B2B) 

  • At least 8 years' experience in a software development environment or in a technology-driven business  

  • Experience with financial services a plus
