After an exciting 5 years working with thousands of clients, making a large dent in the South African fin-tech space, we are looking for a passionate Product Manager to play a key role in steering the platform, and shaping strategy around broadband products and emerging technologies, helping the company to remain at the forefront of innovation and service excellence. Part of your role includes being responsible for applications on the LifeCheq platform, and delivering them to the customer team(s).

 

This role will report to the Head of Product Development and will interface with all levels of the organisation.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage from concept, to design, production, testing, rollout, and support of applications/services on our platform.

  • Collaborate with engineering team on platform features;

  • Own tradeoffs, between cost, value to customers, internal stakeholder concerns; 

  • Ensure the product achieves targets in terms of client conversion, revenue, retention etc. 

  • Perform market research (including competitor analysis)  and help develop go to market promotions, plans and strategies to support sales and revenue growth 

  • Gather feedback from client teams, and clients directly

  • Routine and ad-hoc management reporting on all activity and product performance

  • Manage and recruit for roles within the product development team, including contractor/freelancer relationships.

 

What Skills You Will Bring 

  • You can communicate well with team members and stakeholders on deliverables and approach, demonstrating the ability to communicate and listen appropriately depending on the audience

  • You strive for success, are keen to learn and develop, are collaborative with a can-do attitude, and can build positive relationships

  • Strong commercial understanding and good business knowledge

  • Good technical understanding of relevant technologies

  • Experience with online consumer services is valuable (or small business B2B) 

  • At least 5 years' experience in a commercial or product management role working  in either eCommerce/Online travel booking/Merchant payments/Tech industries

  • Experience with financial services a plus
